Mission Statement
We exist to promote Christ.
We endeavor to accomplish this in three ways.
1. We reach up. We worship to express our love for God above all other considerations.
"You shall have no other gods before me."(Exodus 20:3)Jesus replied"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment." (Matthew 22:37-38)
2. We reach out. We evangelize in obedience to the Great Commission.
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given up to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"(Matthew 28:18b-19)
"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known." (Ephesians 3:10)
3. We reach in. We teach and model Christ-like behavior in obedience to the Great Commission to help others grow spiritually.
"and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."(Matthew 28:20)
"Therfore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity" (Hebrews 6:1)
"It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11-13)
